Invitation to Receive Prayer from SVHR

Online sessions continue to occur every first and third Tuesday of the month. You are invited to schedule time to receive prayer on those days. The upcoming virtual prayer room dates are Tuesday November 1st (Schedule An Appointment) and Tuesday November 15th.

Could It Be…Something Else?

A woman came into the Healing Rooms seeking prayer for a sensitive digestive system. At some point during the appointment the Prayer Minister felt prompted to ask, “Is there anyone you need to forgive?” The woman didn’t think very long and answered, “Maybe. I’ve had a difficult relationship with my father for years because of some of the things he did to me.” The appointment detoured from the original stated need and explored what forgiveness is all about. The appointment ended with a prayer of forgiveness, and a prayer for her digestive system. She reported later that she was able to eat more foods than she had been able to before the appointment. And she felt more peace after the forgiveness.

A woman arrived at the Healing Rooms with pain all over her body and (similarly) a very restricted diet due to what her digestive system could handle. After a few appointments, one of the Prayer Ministers acted out pulling out an invisible poisonous arrow from the woman’s stomach. She believed it was some of the harsh words her ex-husband had spoken to the woman belittling her identity. The Prayer Minister then addressed through several scriptures how God saw the woman. As the woman began to believe how God saw her, and see herself as God saw her, her pain decreased, and her digestive system grew stronger.

A woman can in with a work-related matter that seemed impossible. The team prayed about this and as they did, she claimed the tinnitus in her ear suddenly was “remarkably” better. She hadn’t even mentioned her ear previously during the appointment. Praying about one thing caused healing in another area. The two issues seemed to be connected. She had grown used to the tinnitus and came for prayer on the more urgent work matter. But God knew the cause and started to work on answering the prayers before the appointment was over. Joy in one answered prayer gives strength, hope and faith for God to work in other areas of our lives.

No two appointments are alike at the Healing Room, so we don’t rely on a formula of any kind. Rather we rely on what we hear ahead of time from God and incorporate this into the prayer, along with whatever the visitor wants prayer for. But what we have learned is that God knows how to get the visitor’s attention on to what God wants to highlight. God knows the root cause of each of our concerns and how to address them in prayer. The detours and the words/pictures/scriptures God gives the team members ahead of time, are used by God to be part of His healing process for each visitor.

Hear my prayer, Lord, listen to my cry for help... (Psalm 39:12)

God Answers Prayer

A woman came to Healing Rooms with pain in her body. During the appointment, the individual revealed that she had a fear of flying. The Prayer Ministers addressed this issue, and then the original prayer request. Two weeks later, the woman reported that her she didn’t have any fear of flying and was ready to book her first trip on a plane in 15 years. There was joy and hope for every other prayer request on the list knowing God could completely heal her fear of flying.

A man first came to the Healing Room with great pain in his joints and motion was very hard for him. He said it was painful to simply get up from his chair at work and walk to the copy machine and pick up a printed copy and return to his desk. After returning to the Healing Rooms several times, things slowly improved. A year later, he come to the appointment after completing a 13 mile walk. His knees felt no pain. The healing had taken place gradually, but the progress was remarkable.

One woman said her pain went from a 10 level at the beginning of an appointment to a 5 level at the end of the appointment.

Another woman said that God gave her hope and some peace about her prayer requests.

The prayers requests were for God to act on many issues including Urticaria Vasculitis, heart conditions, stress, ringing in the ear, joint pain, ankles, caregiving challenges with family members, anxiety, a new place to live, a new job, financial breakthrough, grief, tinnitis, challenges at work with co-workers, marriages, and relationships with grown children and/or siblings.
