Hope for Healing

Paul Richards wrote a book called 30 Days of Healing. Day 5 focuses on hope. He claims that God expects us to expect to be healed. He calls that expectation hope. Here is his argument:

“In our modern culture, hoping for something is often synonymous with wishing for something, such as, ‘I wish I had more money’ or ‘ I wish I were married.’ Not so with the Bible. Scripture defines hope as an earnest or confident expectation to experience that which is desired. Furthermore, Scripture tells us that it is God himself who supernaturally gives us the ability to hope for—or expect—His blessing in our lives (Romans 15:13).

“Hope is a supernatural force that works with our faith to bring about what we want or need. If you aren’t sure of the difference between faith and hope, think of it this way: Faith is the understanding that something exists (such as healing for our bodies), and hope is the expectation to see it. Can you see how they work together? Faith recognizes what God has provided for us, and hope is the confidence to see it come to pass.

“Don’t be discouraged if you are low on hope. God is available right now to give you more—just ask! Remember, as His child, you have every right to expect His blessings. That isn’t being presumptuous. It’s what God desires (John 14:13)!

“The author of Hebrews wrote: ‘let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful (Hebrews 10:23). This makes clear our hope is in God and in His faithfulness to us. We never need to doubt His intentions toward us. Instead, we can expect His best for our lives—and that is something to hope for!”

The question remains, “Where does one go when they need more hope?” Things can look discouraging when bad news starts arriving and keeps coming. Hearing what God has to say to us specifically gives hope. God’s words in Scripture give hope. And the perspectives and prayers of others for our situation can bring hope. You are invited to come and receive prayer with Silicon Valley Healing Rooms Team members next Tuesday.

God Answers Prayer

Since our last Healing Rooms Open Hours:

One woman reported that her appointment was wonderful. The prayers were “spot-on,” very concise and directly related to many of the things God is teaching her currently. Since her appointment, the struggles have continued. But she is aware that the enemy is trying to keep her from moving forward into new steps. Because she is aware of the battle, she is beginning to take steps to move in a new direction.

One woman came and had a great experience, but her pain level only moved from a 9 to an 8. However, she had and continues to have a peace that she didn’t have before. Over the next few days, the pain went down to almost nothing. There was some pressure, but no more pain. Other symptoms continue and there is more process ahead. The woman connected with God at a deeper level and is walking in peace through the journey.

One woman’s stress went from a 9 to a 5. The words the team members shared during her appointment brought comfort, strength, and encouragement. She received from the Lord and was reminded not to strive, but to find confidence from God. Psalm 46 was particularly pertinent. Since her visit, she’s been holding onto God’s promises, and walking with more clarity and focus.

One woman’s stress level went from a 5 to a 3. Her prayer request was about a job opportunity she is pursuing. She hasn’t heard back from the company. But her joy and confidence levels have left her more encouraged in the waiting.

The teams prayed for anger issues, recovery from a car accident, family members who practice witchcraft, mother-daughter relationships, job search, identity-clarity, discernment, wisdom, understanding, breakthrough, economic prosperity, finding a place in the marketplace ministry, peace, strength, dealing with divorce, grief, looking for work, trusting in God, upcoming surgery, home remodel, legal counsel, protection guidance, wisdom, addiction issues, salvation, freedom from fear, blood pressure regulation, throat cancer, collapsed lung, diabetes, colitis, joint discomfort, emotional healing, low energy, stomach aches, starting a new job, feeling alone in life, relinquishing fear, finding relationships, daughter to be saved, strongholds in family to be cast down, interpreting a dream, bipolar issues, caregiving a mother long distance, hip pain, and shame removal.
