Strengthened in Battle

During certain periods of time, life can feel like a spiritual battle. If this is one of those times for you, take courage. It is training ground for your next level of promotion. Before David slayed Goliath, he had to kill a lion and a bear. (See 1 Samuel 17:36). Facing Goliath wasn’t his first battle. He gained confidence in his first two victories for the Goliath fight.

Faith building moments produce new lessons, and understandings about particular aspects of God. With health issues, we learn about God as our healer. With finance issues, we learn about God as our provider. With relationship issues, we learn about God as our counselor. We can ask God what He wants us to be learning as we go through the battle.

In spending time with God and seeking His purposes for our life, we discern more about our destiny. He wants us to know His will. (See Proverbs 3:5-6). It’s not meant to be a secret. When He’s silent, it may be time to stay the course in the midst of our trials with the last thing He told us.

We can continually seek guidance as we go – day by day, and sometimes decision by decision through really difficult days. Rarely do we see the whole picture in advance. We may have to wait till the end of a battle to fully understand what we are supposed to learn. His promise is to go with us through every difficulty (see Psalm 91:15).

Meanwhile, we fight using God’s words from Scripture. Scripture offers us strength, comfort and promises to stand on. It is so important to keep the honest dialogue with God open through prayer. When it feels like there’s nothing more to pray, we can worship or sing a song. Holding our hands up in prayer is not surrender; it is worship. This is how we fight our battles.

We can also put a guard over our mouths from negative words or emotions coming out. (See Psalm 141:3 and Philippians 4: 6-9). Talking about the problem doesn’t usually make it go away. It is time to get strategic with God and ask for specific tactics to work on things in His timing.

All the while, God is strengthening us, equipping us, and readying us for victory in all of our trials. He’s got a plan to be victorious in every battle for every one of His sons and daughters. (See 2 Corinthians 2:14, and 1 Peter 5:10).

God Answers Prayer

Since our last Healing Rooms’ Open Hours:

A lady came in and received encouragement to pray with more confidence in God’s willingness to answer her prayers.

The team teaching for last Open Hours was on what to do when one confronts witchcraft in the business world or in the neighborhood. So it was a natural question to ask people facing serious situations, “Do you think there could be any witchcraft curses coming at you (or your family)?” Roughly 70% of the visitors we asked responded with “Yes,” or “Possibly.” The teams explored further and offered to pray. The visitors who received prayer to break witchcraft curses said they “felt better” at the end of the appointment. We look forward to getting feedback.

One lady had recently given birth, and immediately the infant was put into the NICU incubator with unstable heart and lungs. The baby was then transferred to a very specialized hospital with better equipment. She had a team member pray for the baby and break a witchcraft curse that a relative on the baby’s father’s side of the family had pronounced. Within 24 hours, the baby responded positively and was able to leave the NICU unit. The tension in the atmosphere around the mother eased significantly. The baby is continuing to thrive and has returned home.

The teams prayed for job interviews, scary dreams, finding housing, chemo treatments to be effective and complete healing, court cases, finding a church, finding spouses, finding different friends, decisions at work, more clients, adult children relationships, controlling bosses, fractured knees, trauma relief, ability to make decisions, breast cancer diagnosis, hope in the face of doors closing, and healthy marriages.

Together, Silicon Valley Healing Rooms Prayer Ministers are ready to take your prayer requests to God in prayer. They also seek God’s word for you in advance of the appointment.
