Invitation to Pray with SVHR December 20, 2022 & Newsletter

Next open hours: Tuesday December 20th

The Rhythm of Light

Every day officially begins in darkness. In the night, the light comes from the moon and the stars. The stars tell their own story. The wise men of the East learned about the arrival of a new king by studying the story of the stars, and followed the stars until they found baby Jesus. They worshipped. They honored. Then a dream directed them to return home in a different direction.

The night sky turns pink as dawn arrives. The sun arises and brings light. Activity bustles, and focus come to the tasks and purposes of the day. Clouds of all sizes and shapes float across the sky throughout the days, sometimes blocking the sun’s light. But ultimately they pass through, and the rhythm of the days continues.

When Jesus came to earth, He declared He was the light of the world. “I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness” (John 12:46). When we choose to follow the light of Jesus, He becomes our new rhythm of light. We become part of an everlasting light. His light in us illumines our destiny and journey throughout every day, and night cycle. We shift from moving solely with the earthly cycle of light to the everlasting cycle of light. We learn to operate in step with the everlasting rhythm of light.

Hear my prayer, Lord, listen to my cry for help… (Psalm 39:12)

God Answers Prayer

One woman’s stress went from an 8 to almost 0. She said her prayer team spoke particular Scriptures into her situation that brought reassurance and peace. She was able to trust God’s presence in her situation. One result is the ability to sleep better. She was reminded of God’s protection over her.

One lady said her experience was supportive and helpful! “God spoke through a vision and words received ahead of time for me.”

One lady came with concern about her adult children. She hasn’t seen what she has been praying for come to pass so she didn’t think God had heard her prayers. The team joined her in prayer. They also encouraged her to believe God was at work on her prayers even though the answer was still forthcoming. This reminder was very encouraging to her.

The prayers requests were for God to act on many issues including rsv, heart conditions, work stress, holiday pressures, caregiving challenges, getting siblings to help with care, bipolar symptoms, skin irritations, tooth pain, digestive issues, financial breakthrough, wisdom in decisions, wanting to use God’s gifts more, marriages, separations, relationships with grown children, upcoming family gatherings around Christmas holidays.
