Invitation to Pray with SVHR August 2, 2022 & Newsletter

Partnering with God for Healing

Most of us know that if a doctor recommends steps to follow to regain health, we will do so. Doctor Jesus has some recommendations as well.

1.         Speak Life with our Words.

Whether it is a medical diagnosis or a series of circumstances that we are battling, we speak what the word of God says. Scripture becomes our prayer and declaration. The Silicon Valley Healing Rooms have multiple page handout that lists several verses. Ask God for a verse, and see what He gives you in your quiet time and let them get into your spirit. Prayer team members from your church or SVHR team members may get a verse ahead of time for you and often these are quite apropos for the situation.

“This is my comfort in my affliction, for Your word has given me life” (Psalm 119:50).

“I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD” (Psalm 118:17).

2.         Mirror Christ’s behavior in Our Behavior

Being sick or in distress is not the time to allow ourselves room to throw a tantrum, or be in a bad mood, or be a difficult patient. It is a time to reflect on anything in our lives that we need to bring before God for examination, or bring to the cross in forgiveness, or arrange to have an overdue conversation. See Colossians 3:8-13 for a detailed list of behaviors not to pursue as we “put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another…” (Col 3:12-13).

3.         Remember How God Sees Us.

God sees us as overcomers. One of the first things we need to do is learn to overcome the thoughts of doubt that creep in when we’re not feeling well. These thoughts sound like, “Nothing’s happening,” “There’s no change so it will never change,” or “It’s not working.” Some variation of these thoughts often pop up. We need to counter them with truth sentences. “God is at work in me even if I can’t see it,” or “Change can happen quickly, and I choose to believe God.” WE overcome doubt with faith.

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthen me” (Philippians 4:13).

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).

There are many more things Dr. Jesus wants us to know. Simply spend time with Jesus and ask Him, “What do I need to know about the steps to my healing?”

God Answers Prayer

One woman said her team members were wonderful. Her heart was full and resonated with everything said. Since the appointment, she’s been putting into practice the things God highlighted in the appointment.

Ahead of time, the team heard Hebrews 4:12, which says that, “the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow…” She says she was healed, spiritually and physically. The pain in her heel was gone. She left feeling happy and lifted up.

One lady was able to forgive the doctor that refused to check her lungs and the cancer was not found for a year. Note: This is a huge step for receiving the fullness of healing. Unforgiveness is used by the enemy to delay what God wants to do. Praise God for this step. It is like removing a boulder out of the healing paths.

The prayers requests were for God to act on many issues including insomnia, chronic fatigue, bipolar depression, clarity of purpose, protection for family, PKD, kidney functionality, anxiety, fear, challenging marriages, selling property, husband’s caregivers, cancer in the lymph nodes, relationships with adult children, energy for a new job, economy uncertainties, high blood pressure, foot pain, and managing finances.

Scheduling An Appointment

Together, Silicon Valley Healing Rooms Prayer Ministers are ready to take your prayer requests to God in prayer. They also seek God’s word for you in advance of the appointment.

We are now taking signups for prayer appointments for Tuesday August 2, 2022.

To sign up for an appointment, there are TWO STEPS:

1.  Let us know your TOP THREE APPOINTMENT TIME PREFERENCES, in order of priority.

We will coordinate the teams, and send the zoom information on Monday August 1, 2022, for the appointment times on Tuesday August 2, 2022.

In the event that we are not able to offer you the time frames you desire, you may share a phone number with us to text you if an opening should arise when someone needs to cancel an appointment. This happens from time to time, and we are able to text you to see if you are available to join an available prayer team.
