Invitation to Pray with SVHR November 21, 2023 & Newsletter

Fighting disease can feel like one is in a battle, because it is a battle. Part of that battle is the spiritual component. We are fighting off discouragement, frustration, and abandonment by God. The longer a condition lingers, the easier it is to wonder if things will change. We get weary doing all the right things. We pray for (seek out, lock in on) joy, which gives us strength. Here are some other things we can do:

  1. HOLD THE LINE

Definition: “to firmly maintain one’s existing position, Military tactical term, to refuse to change one’s practice or plans. HOLD” (Webster’s Dictionary).

Holding a line is not often done solo. It is meant to be done in tandem. Sometimes it is necessary to lock shields with others to stand our ground, and advance. Healing Room Prayer Ministers are ready to hold the line in the battle to maintain and advance health.

In battle, the enemy will try to smack talk, and whisper lies to us about our health, our relationships, and our chances for improvement. We must hold steady. We focus on God’s ability to heal (see Isaiah 53:4) and His goal for us to be in health (see 3 John 2). The truth is He does care about what we’re going through. Whenever possible, we look for God’s glory to be revealed in the midst of our current circumstances.

2. KEEP THE FAITH

“But when Jesus heard it, He answered him, saying, ‘Do not be afraid; only believe, and she will be made well” (Luke 8:50, NKJV).

If the enemy can convince us that God doesn’t care about us and He doesn’t really love us, he wins. This is the aim of the enemy’s objectives. We must fight to believe that God does care about us and He does love us, even when our circumstances don’t feel like it. It’s all about the choice. We CAN choose to believe this even when we don’t feel it.

If we can steward this choice, and keep the belief alive, then we can trust Him in the midst of every terrible thing the enemy throws at us. The enemy’s goal is to make us doubt the goodness of God. We need to keep choosing, and keep believing in God’s love for us (beyond our circumstances). As best we can, we need to keep trusting God as we call upon Him for our healing.

3. VOICE ACTIVATE

“So Jesus answered and said to them, ‘Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, “be removed and be cast into the seas,” and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.’” (Mark 11:22-24).

Faith is Voice Activated. Silicon Valley Healing Rooms has 12 different “Nurturing the Seed” sheets on various topics such as Nurturing the Seed of Abundance (and not the poverty spirit), Peace (not anger), Blessings (not curses), Joy (not depression), Trust (not doubt), Fearlessness (not fear), Purity (not lust), Humility(not pride) [one of our least requested handouts], Acceptance (not rejection), Honor (not shame), and Restored (not sinner). Each of these pages has 40+ verses on them. The verses can be read out loud. Doing so starts to change the atmosphere that surrounds us. We encourage reading these verses daily. Some verses will be familiar, and some may start being committed to memory. Scripture is alive and takes root in our hearts. The Holy Spirit may bring these up when we are battling discouragement or fatigue. Many of us have had the chorus of a worship song “pop” into our head and we start singing along. This is usually a truth we need that is getting lodged in our hearts.

One phrase out of scripture I use that stands out as encouragement for those long term prayers is written below. I suggest reading it four times, each time emphasizing a different phrase. We read over this so often in scripture and yet there can be ten years wrapped up in this one phrase. If this is where any of us are at, I encourage you to say it with emphasis and conviction.

               IT shall come to pass

               It SHALL come to pass

               It shall COME to pass

               It shall come TO PASS

There is a day coming where we can say, “And it came to pass….”

God Answers Prayer

Since our last Healing Rooms Open Hours:

One lady described her experience as good. She didn’t get a manifestation of healing right away but she learned new ways to pray about the situation. She felt clearer mentally after a few days.

One felt his pain level go from an 8 to a 4. His anxiety disappeared. He heard directly from God as the prayer team members prayed. He heard, “I love you, my son.” God spoke directly to the man about his health situation and he was comforted.

A woman reported that her stress went from an 8 to a 2. She said the prayer ministers were empathetic and detailed to all they had heard in prayer for her. They captured God’s heart for her. This woman had addressed long COVID symptoms in prayer a year ago with a visit to the Healing Rooms. She had seen much improvement (about 85%) and was coming for another issue. She was encouraged to use God’s word as medicine [along with what the doctors recommended].

The teams prayed for jobs, finding new housing, court cases, finding destiny, sleep instead of insomnia, decisions about work, a healthy pregnancy, throat issues, parent-children relationships, trauma relief, cancer cells to go, chemotherapy side effects to diminish, breaking curses, marriage challenges, mental stability and well-being, help in caring for elderly parents, financial miracles, physical hearing issues, and prodigal children. We prayed against the symptoms of dizziness, depression, back pain, knee pain.

Scheduling An Appointment

Together, Silicon Valley Healing Rooms Prayer Ministers are ready to take your prayer requests to God in prayer. They also seek God’s word for you in advance of the appointment.

We are now taking signups for prayer appointments for Tuesday November 21, 2023.

This happens from time to time, and we are able to text you to see if you are available to join an available prayer team.
