The Bible says, “Fear Not,” or “Do Not Fear” at least 365 times. We are not supposed to operate in fear. Yet all of us experience fear. And many times for very valid reasons. Fear is a natural human response to danger. Most of the time we can identify the source of fear and deal with it directly. This includes fire, flood, a wild animal encounter, or a wave of corporate layoffs.
Sometimes overcoming fear isn’t possible. And we need to “Do It Afraid.” Speaking in front of an audience ranks quite high on most people’s list of fearful quests. Experts give us helpful directives, such as focusing on speaking to one person in the audience, and not looking at the crowd. It doesn’t remove the scenario, but it makes it manageable.
The Bible cautions against letting a spirit of fear operate in our lives. A spirit of fear causes one to live in a fearful state all the time. Instead, God offers us a spirit of power, love and a sound mind. Fearful people tend to freeze and stay frozen in fearful conditions. In contrast, a sound mind allows us to assess our situation and make wise decisions in the midst of fearful and stressful circumstances.
Looking at current times, the people in Israel, Gaza, and the Ukraine are all facing the uncertainties that come with war. One way to pray for people in such conditions is to ask God to give them sound minds to make wise decisions, the ability to do whatever they need to do, and a supernatural love for all people.
This also works in peace conditions as well – as a blessing. This makes a prayer out of the verse in 2 Timothy 1:7. “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and a sound mind.”
God Answers Prayer
Since our last Healing Rooms Open Hours:
One lady came in with prayer requests for her children. She found her visit strengthening. She felt God bolstered her and gave her His perspective. She left with less stress.
One lady came with several prayer requests including health and housing. She left feeling optimistic and encouraged by God.
One lady came and said she didn’t feel anything different during the prayer time. Later her pain decreased overnight and the stiffness left. She was reminded by the team to be thankful for even the smallest of improvements and come to the Lord with appreciation.
The teams prayed for job interviews, finding housing, court cases, finding destiny, insomnia, dizziness, depression, back pain, knee pain, decisions about work, a healthy pregnancy, throat issues, parent-children relationships, trauma relief, cancer cells to go, chemotherapy side effects to diminish, breaking curses, marriage challenges, mental stability and well-being, caring for elderly parents, financial miracles, physical hearing issues, and prodigal children.
Scheduling An Appointment
Together, Silicon Valley Healing Rooms Prayer Ministers are ready to take your prayer requests to God in prayer. They also seek God’s word for you in advance of the appointment.
We are now taking signups for prayer appointments for Tuesday October 17, 2023.
To sign up for an appointment, there are TWO STEPS:
1. Let us know your TOP THREE APPOINTMENT TIME PREFERENCES, in order of priority.
We will coordinate the teams, and send the zoom information on Monday for the appointment on Tuesday.
2. Share a phone number so we can TEXT you with scheduling changes.
In the event that we are not able to offer you the time frames you desire, you may share a phone number with us to text you if an opening should arise when someone needs to cancel an appointment. This happens from time to time, and we are able to text you to see if you are available to join an available prayer team. All information is confidential to the ministry and is not used for solicitation. This step is optional.
