Invitation to Pray with SVHR August 1, 2023 & Newsletter

Cherish the Intimacy

Life is complex! The journey of maturity usually involves God working with us on one area of our lives after another. It could be cleaning up our language (no swearing, criticism, or sarcasm), changing our fears to trust, or developing Godly habits (quiet time, Bible Study, and Sabbath). All directions point toward going deeper with God this summer. If we get sick, or we run into a bump (possibly a detour) on the road, the tendency is to stop everything and deal with the most urgent matter that needs attention. Yet, all of life presses forward. Family matters come up, social commitments must be planned and attended, deadlines at work continue, and dinner still needs to get on the table every night.

It is in the midst of all this that God whispers His comfort to us. We may fall behind in our daily reading plan to read the Bible in a year. So what if it’s now a three year plan and the passage we found time to read two days ago is still processing in our heads? Is it ironic that we need that nugget of truth from Joshua this week? “Everywhere your feet shall go, I am with you” (Joshua 1:9). Would it surprise us to learn that that promise in Joshua is God’s plan for us now?

Just when it seems like life accelerates away from us, God steadies us with a song on the radio that stays in our heart, or a dream, or a prophetic word spoken over us awhile back, or an email from an acquaintance with answered prayer. God is in the midst of our lives, right here, right now. He’s not surprised by the twists and turns of our jobs, our families, or of society. The key to survival is to recognize His voice, and keep inviting Him into our lives every day.

We can deepen our intimacy with God as we review our day with Him as we drift off to sleep and let Him highlight the moments that captured His heart as well as ours. It’s getting on His wavelength that builds closeness to face whatever tomorrow might hold. God is for us and Holy Spirit is in us each step of the journey. All the complications? They are already factored in with a way through them to allow victory. Let us remember that and go forward together hand-in-hand forever.

“Nevertheless I am continually with You; You hold me by my right hand. You will guide me with Your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory” (Psalm 72: 23-24).

God Answers Prayer

Since our last Healing Rooms Open Hours:

A man came to the Healing Rooms and was encouraged in his journey to keep moving forward with his goals before the Lord. Many times going forward healed (or in a new direction) isn’t automatic after one prayer. It is usually a process that becomes a lifestyle of victory.

A lady came with complex legal scenario to pray about. The team prayed with her and she left feeling better. Over the next few days, the specific steps to follow and proceed forward became clear and a plan of action developed. She feels this has God’s blessing on it.

A woman asked for prayer for people she knew to become Christians and proceeded to give us a list of 37 names. I’m not sure what she expected from the appointment. There are many people who fill out prayer cards at their church and nothing seems to change. It’s not clear what they think happens when someone prays. When a Silicon Valley Healing Rooms Prayer Team prays for a person’s request, they wait till they hear from God and get answers. So the team prayed for 37 people, by name, and waited to hear from God what the one thing was that God wanted them to lift up in prayer about each person. The visitor was rather surprised at what she heard. It wasn’t a generic “same old, same old” prayer session. It was specific and direct. Some issues went deep. The Lord knows and the Lord cares.

The teams prayed for job interviews, finding housing, court cases, finding destiny, insomnia, depression, back pain, knee pain, tennis elbow, decisions about work, getting pregnant, throat issues, parent-children relationships, college graduates that need to find their first job, trauma relief from recent and long ago times, cancer cells to go, chemotherapy side effects, breaking curses, marriage and divorce challenges, mental stability and well-being, caring for elderly parents, financial miracles, physical hearing, abdominal pain, and travel concerns.

Scheduling An Appointment

Together, Silicon Valley Healing Rooms Prayer Ministers are ready to take your prayer requests to God in prayer. They also seek God’s word for you in advance of the appointment.
