THANKSGIVING

Some have labeled our American society as one of entitlement. Do you know what the antidote of entitlement is?  Gratitude!  The United State of America celebrates Thanksgiving as a nation. Let us take time this year to spend time with God, with or without family members, and tell God what we’re thankful for. Being grateful stems from a clean and humble heart before God.

“Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,

And into His courts with praise

Be thankful to Him, and bless His name (Psalm 100:4, NKJV).”

HEALING TRUTH

In this month of Kislev, it is a time to examine oneself before the Lord. Especially when coming to the Table of the Lord and partaking in communion. Regularly coming before the Lord and examining oneself in preparation for communion is a proactive step of health.

Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep. For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged (1 Corinthians 11:27-31, NKJV).”

TO THE TEAM

Thank you for your faithfulness. It mirrors the faithfulness of the One we serve. Thank you for living faithful lives. It is making a difference in the atmosphere around you. Come tomorrow and share the victories that God has been doing in your world. We join in prayer for the concerns of one another on the team, and those coming for prayer, as we enter this holiday of Thanksgiving. We extend together our expectation for God to answer prayer as we pray in faith and confidence that God is who He says He is! Bring any stories you’ve heard about God’s faithfulness in the midst of the Camp Fire and the Malibu Fire.
