Several of our team members attended The Call in Los Angeles on April 9. Healing happened throughout the day all over the stadium. People jumped out of wheelchairs, legs got healed, hearts restored, and eyes opened. Healing precedes revival, and revival was the collective cry of thousands. Hours of reconciliation launched the event. Even as attendees stood in the cold drizzle, unity reigned as the formal process of forgiveness between denominations and people groups unfolded. The hallmark of healing continued all day and into the evening as worship rose in one accord.
GOD ANSWERS PRAYER
One woman came with ringing in her head, which she had had for about 3 weeks. After prayer, the ringing went away completely on the spot, and has not returned for 10 days (when she sent in her story.)
Sometimes prayer requests can be linked. One woman came with knee pain and concerns about family members. God revealed that the concerns for the family members were causing undue burdens and affecting her knee in the natural. The team prayed about laying the concerns of the family members at Jesus’ feet and asked Him to carry them. Jesus showed her that He is a good partner. He would answer the prayers with His best efforts. At the end of this “release” prayer, the knee pain had also left her body.
HEALING TRUTH
In Keys to Wisdom (vol 2), Cal Pierce, founder of International Association of Healing Rooms, writes about destroying cancer. “In John 8:44 Jesus called the enemy the father of lies and there is no truth in him. A lie has no evidence. By contrast, truth has evidence. In other words, the lie is not backed up with proof that something exists. Therefore, if the enemy tells you something, it’s not Truth. It’s a lie. The lie is referred to in the Word as a vanity.
“The lie is ‘you have cancer.’ The truth is Jesus bore our sickness (cancer) so we wouldn’t have to. The lie (cancer) wants to manifest in the natural (seeing) realm by causing us to have a belief system that lines up with the bad report rather than truth. The enemy is a tempter who uses symptoms to tempt us into acceptance. When we accept the bad report, then we come down to the level of the enemy and fight on his terms. No symptoms, great or small, painful or not, determine the truth that by the stripes of Jesus we are healed. (1 Peter 2:24)”
Then Cal Pierce quotes Jonah 2:8
“Those who regard lying vanities forsake their faithfulness.” Unknown version
Other translations read:
“Those who regard worthless idols forsake their own Mercy.” Jonah 2:8 NKJV
“Those who pay regard to vain idols forsake their hope of steadfast love. “ ESV
“Those who cling to worthless idols forfeit the grace that could be theirs.” NIV
“Those who worship hollow gods, god-frauds, walk away from their only true love.” MSG
“Those who worship false gods turn their backs on all God’s mercies.” NLT
“Those deceived by worthless things lose their chance for mercy.” CEB
Without turning Cal’s point into a formula, there does seem to be a link to trusting in hollow gods or worthless idols and forfeiting the fullness of God’s love and mercy in healing. We need God’s grace for full living and a healthy body. This verse offers a reason as to why that grace might be forfeited. It is worth exploring what are the core values of the individual. Perhaps there is more mercy to be had in healing prayer as people pursue God wholeheartedly and abandon pursuing any worthless goals, hollow idols or false promises.
Let us pray for redeemed and purified minds and pursuits and thereby walk in His love, mercy and health.

As we prayed during worship last Open Hours, the Lord wants to fill each of us with more of whatever we need: His Joy, Peace, Love, Acceptance, Hope, Power and Authority. As we empty out anything not of Him in our lives, there is more of Him to fill us. We are all in the process of becoming more and more like Jesus.
