TESTIMONIES

We had a one report of physical healing on the spot for knuckle pain.  By the end of her appointment, the pain was completely gone!

We prayed in our Soaking Time in the morning for one of the Prayer Team Members’s son whose back was hurt and got a report within 24 hours that his back is well, and he’s drinking more water.

One woman came in for prayer for encouragement as she was discouraged by the overwhelming tasks of a new job.  Before she walked in the room, the Prayer minister got a picture of her amaryllis plant at home.  It had the picture of a beautiful big red bloom on the box. Currently the plant had two leaves growing but no bloom anywhere in sight after 2 months.  Yet, this plant is growing and has the DNA for a bloom.  Keep watering it.  This picture ahead of time from God encouraged the visitor.

Someone came who was feeling very distant from her husband due to her growing faith and service to the Lord.  Her husband does not share her faith in God.  She was randomly assigned to be in a room with a woman who has walked in these circumstances for years and has had a successful marriage.  There’s power in praying for people where the prayer minister has had victory.  God knows who to put in which Healing Rooms. The woman was encouraged to pray with someone who could understand her circumstances so specifically.  And the prayer gave her great encouragement.

We had a visitor who has visited us three times for prayer for depression over the last three months.  The prayer team that ministered to this person was able to report improvement.  “It’s like a fog that’s starting to dissipate.”

HEALING INSIGHTS

I want to share two highlights from the San Francisco training:

1.         The Healing can Happen Before the Symptoms Disappear

Sue Burdullis told a story about a man that had liver cancer and the doctors had run all the tests to verify the symptoms.  He was due to start chemo therapy in a week or so.  He went to a healing service and learned the truths about what Dr. God has to say about his body. He didn’t feel any different but started to believe that Jesus has died for his cancer symptoms on the cross.  One can know a trust and hear the sentence to may times that it feels theoretical and not personal.  He heard it personally.  He went in at the end of the week for his first chemo treatment.  He felt the same.  In faith, he asked the doctor to check one more time.  The doctors were not amused, but seriously concerned the patient would not go forward with chemo. So they did the tests.  The tests came back negative.  The doctors were surprised.  There was no trace of cancer.

What’s interesting to note from this story is that the man was healed before the symptoms retreated from his body.  Most people let the symptoms tell them whether or not the healing has taken place.  The tests determined the man was healed. But the symptoms that were making him feel ill didn’t leave till after the new test results came back.

2.         The Proper Response to Testimony – Take It and Say Thank You

It’s no secret that testimonies are hard to come by.  Our churches teach. But when is the last time you can remember hearing testimonies of healing at our traditional churches?  Remember when there used to be Sunday evening services where people shared their testimonies?  These services were designed to build up the faith of the church members.  But they are rare these days.

Sue unpacked Revelation 19:10  “For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

When we hear a testimony, faith is released in the hearer’s heart.

Follow the flow here toward your victory from a testimony.

A testimony is shared among believers.

Faith is released from the word into the heart’s spirit

(Note:  “The Word” is another name for Jesus)

Faith is a real substance.

(Hebrews 11:1  Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.)

Faith is a substance, and a gift from God.

What do we do with gifts?  Recipients “take” gifts, and start to use them.

When Jesus offered communion, He said to “Take and eat” my body.

(Note: Jeremiah 15:16 says we eat the words of scripture.  “Your words were found and I ate them.”

So when we hear a testimony, we can “take” what is offered as a shared story of someone’s experience and receive it.

Like receiving a gift, we say “Thank you” as we “take” the story and ingest it.

When we hear a testimony, it becomes part of our shared experience base.  Our “body of experiences”, or our collection of faith data points, become the foundation (rock foundation) that our faith is based in.  When we listen, receive and “take” the testimonies that we hear, we are building up our faith foundation. We pray out of our faith foundation.  Testimonies nurture and grow our faith confidence factor.

So when we hear the “testimony” of Jesus’ healing someone, it becomes part of our faith base out of which we gain the confidence to pray for other people’s healing.

Revelation 19:10  “For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

INVITATION TO INTERCEDE

If any of you can not attend this Tuesday, but are available to intercede for us during the Open Hours, please let us know this.   We love to receive words or texts from you if God gives you a word while interceding.  Texts have proven to be extremely accurate and exactly what the person (or the whole prayer team) needed to hear.

Whether you are with us in spirit or in person, we will be worshipping in praise and song one hour prior to being open.  Join us from wherever you find yourself.

THANK YOU

Thank you for making Healing Prayer a priority to be able to come and see what God wants to do each time we are open.  You are God’s valuable and powerful prayer warriors.  We are blessed to have you on the team. Continue contending in prayer.  It is more powerful than you realize.

Our God is all Powerful,  Our God is Good, and our God is love.

He has compassion for all who come for prayer.
