SVHR Newsletter for Dec 3, 2013

December News for Open Hours December 3

The Silicon Valley Healing Rooms will be open December 3 from 11-1, and also from 7-9. For the Prayer Team members, soaking starts 1 hour earlier, with worship, updates, blessings, and communion.

It’s December, and all the colors of Christmas are coming out in the stores. It’s starting to feel a lot like Christmas.  For many, this is a joyous time of year and full of family memories.  For others, the media makes it a constant reminder of what they don’t have and how their family does not match the happy images on TV.  Traditionally, it’s a busy Open Hours season.

Testimonies

We had a woman come to the Healing Rooms last time because her friend got completely healed with a swallowing issue.  He couldn’t swallow regular food and had to puree everything he ate or drink all his nutrients.  He was only 28 and it wasn’t good.  We were one of a few different places he went to for prayer.  Within days after his visit he was able to start eating and drinking normally again.  He also got prayer at another church.  But the friend came for the first time because she was convinced that God touched him at the Healing Rooms.  Her issues were completely different, but she arrived expectant and believing that God would answer her prayers.

It’s always a treat to have people return to share how they are doing and continue the process of healing. We had one woman come with a physical issue early in November.  When she walked into the Prayer Room, she said she really wanted to be able to hear from God.  That redirected the prayer time a bit and she ended up renouncing some poor choices in the past dealing with occult options.  By the end of the appointment, she looked different.  When she returned two weeks later, she reported her prayer life was much better, and her physical health issues were well on the mend.

It has been a season of transition for many as God positions people where he wants them physically and in jobs and geographically. We prayed for a lot of people who need to move and find new places to live.  We prayed for people making decisions about the future.  We prayed for people needing to change employment.   We prayed for many prayer requests for transition in the family of God.  We invited God into the middle of each process.

Healing Thoughts

God cares about you.  He cares about all those who come to the Healing Rooms.  I share with you the words we got for the group waiting in the soaking room for prayer.  We usually pray for people ahead of time and get individual words.  The team asked God for words for the people waiting. We then shared this and released the things God said to bless them with.  Afterward, the people who were able to stay and wait for prayer told us how this word or how two words really blessed them and were for them.  It was great confirmation.

As you read through what God said was needed for the people on November 19, please “take” anything that blesses your spirit as a word from God for this Advent season.

God: “Some people are experiencing this…” God:  “Tell them this…”
1. Depression Speak Hope to them:  Romans 15:13“Now, may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.”
2. Discord in relationships Peace.  Not the False peace.  My peace.Bless them with reconciliation.  John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you:  my peace I give you.  I do not give to you as the words gives.  Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
3. Needs Joy I give you My joy
4. Grief and Sorrow Bless the people with the comfort of the Holy Spirit.  2 Cor 1:3-4 “ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”
5. Need to Forgive Some might object that the person doesn’t deserve it.  True.  Forgiveness isn’t about “deserve.”  Give it to God, and He is the one who will bring restitution to us, and deal with the other person directly.  Ask God for the desire to forgive.
6. Elbow, wrist, arm Pray for healing.  The Lord has already said yes, because you will be weight lifters for others.
7. Eating away at the body/bones The Lord is turning things inside out.  Ps 32:3 “When I kept silent, my bones grew old
Through my groaning all the day long.
For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me;
My vitality was turned into the drought of summer. Selah
I acknowledged my sin to You,
And my iniquity I have not hidden.
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,”
And You forgave the iniquity of my sin.”
8. Need faith for promises to come true They tried everything and are discouraged at not seeing anything come about.  The LORD says there are “Suddenlies” on the way.  Release this as blessing.
9. Problem Relatives Give them to God.  Tell the people that God has new relatives for them.  The family-of-God relatives are united through the blood of Jesus which is thicker than regular blood.
10. Headaches from pressure and stress Speak pace and relaxation to their bodies.Bless people with God’s confidence in them, and purpose.

Invitation to Intercede

If any of you can not attend this Tuesday, but are available to intercede for us during the Open Hours, please let us know this.   We love to receive texts from you if God gives you a word while interceding.  Texts have proven to be extremely accurate and exactly what the person (or the whole prayer team) needed to hear.

A Worship Blessing

We played the song “Give me Your Eyes” by Brandon Heath

Here’s the chorus.  It seem apropos as we were preparing our hearts to pray.

“Give me Your eyes for just one second
Give me Your eyes so I can see
Everything that I keep missing
Give me Your love for humanity
Give me Your arms for the broken-hearted
The ones that are far beyond my reach
Give me Your heart for the ones forgotten
Give me Your eyes so I can see”

See you Tuesday December 3

THANK YOU

Thank you for making Healing Prayer a priority to be able to come and see what God wants to do each time we are open.  You are God’s valuable and powerful prayer warriors.  We are blessed to have you on the team. Continue contending in prayer.  It is more powerful than you realize.

Blessings of Joy and Hope,
