Scriptural Touchstone

Waiting For a Doctor’s Report
When something’s not quite right and we visit a doctor who orders reports, there’s usually a waiting period to get the test results back. It is during these moments that the enemy starts to whisper doubts into our mind. “What if it’s something really bad? What if it’s terminal? Or forever effects my mobility or heart or ability to fly? What if I can’t work? What if I can’t drive? What if….?” These thoughts come at us in seconds. They produce worry, doubt, and fear.

We can pull out prophecies that God has given us over the years and let these fan the flames of passion once again. God is good and will fulfill all that He has said He would do. “Not a word failed of any good thing which the LORD had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass” (Joshua 21:45).

Hear my prayer, Lord, listen to my cry for help…(Psalm 39:12)

God’s Answered Prayer Last Open Hours we saw a woman come in with severe back pain and arthritis pain. Her pain was at an 8 and it went to a 1 during the appointment. This gave her hope for the other health items on her list.

We worked with an individual who had experienced a traumatizing event in the work place.

We walked through a PTSD prayer and then addressed some questions raised before God dealing with some deeper emotions that got triggered during the work event. There was the comfort of God’s specific words given to the team ahead of time and the verses that came to the team before knowing what the prayer request was. The individual felt like God knew what he had been through and cared about his work world.

One individual came in and his pain went from a 5 to a 3. He felt his experience was excellent with skilled prayer warriors. The appointment built his faith and eased some depression. He left in a better state of being, and thanking Jesus. The prayer requests were for God to act on many issues including work related stress, arthritis, back pain, cancer, healing from OCD, macular degeneration, TBI brain injury, relationships with family members, brain cancer, Guillain-Barre Syndrome, recovery from COVID, relationship with adult children, a new job, financial concerns, vasculitis, stronger faith, the spiritual gift of Word-of-Knowledge, cataract surgery, lupus, knee pain, joint inflammation, peace, direction, decisions to make, and caregiving of parents.
