Looking for and Finding Hope, Joy and Love

2022 begins with an overabundance of news stories focused on Omicron, the newest strain of COVID. These stories can leave a person anxious, and almost fearful of contracting COVID. Research, facts, and truth go a long way towards setting the record straight. 98% of people with this version of COVID do not need to go to the hospital at all. Of those who do need hospitalization, their stays have largely been clocked at 48hours or less. People are recovering quickly with full restoration in a few days. The CDC has cut in half the number of days required for quarantining at home after recovery from COVID from 10 days to 5 days.

Spiritually, the Bible says that, “… perfect love casts out fear” (1 John 4;18).  Perfect love refers to God’s love. We may not have enough love on our own to feel like we are successfully casting out our fears. But we can ask God for some of His love to fill us up to the point of casting out fear, and overflowing to those around us.

We can pull on heaven in the spiritual battle levels you find ourselves for what we need in that battle zone. We can ask for more of Jesus’ joy, more of Jesus’ peace, and more of Jesus’ presence in your life. Where Jesus is, there is victory. This year, engage in the spiritual component of the battle with the spiritual tools the Lord God Almighty has given us in scripture. Use these to walk by faith and not by sight. “For we walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Cor 5:7). This is where the victory is won.

Looking for more Hope?  Call on the God of hope. “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13).

Looking for more Peace? Pick up Jesus’ peace. “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27).

Looking for more Joy? Ask Holy Spirit for a deposit. Jesus said, “These thing I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full” (John 15;11).

Looking for more Love? Ask for God’s love to be poured into you. “…the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who has been given to us” (Romans 5:5).

God Answers Prayer

The team, ahead of time, heard God say, “Stay focused on me, pull on my strength and power. I am in you and for you, continue to renew your mind and spirit. It will provide revelation to your soul and body.” The person coming for prayer asked for prayer regarding her eyesight.

A prayer minister saw a man on a beach with a dog. She wrote down the verse Isaiah 41:10 “Fear not for I am with you…”  The other prayer minister felt that the person coming for prayer felt lonely and abandoned and offered Hebrews 13:5-6, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” During the appointment, the man said he had spent several days at the beach with his dog over the holidays because his dog had been diagnosed with cancer. He prayer request was for hearing in his left ear and the long term process of diagnosis and healing. He felt God was with him on his journey.

The prayer teams took to God prayer requests concerning eye sight, marriages, lingering brain fog, severe headaches, freedom from computer game addictions, legal court cases, future spouses, protection over children, cancer, family members with mental illness, breaking curses, asthma, decisions about moving, student debt, positive COVID test, divorce proceedings, hearing loss, relationship decisions, future spouses, night traumas, an ex-boyfriend stalking a woman, job search, strength to take care of an elderly parent, and unwanted fibroids.

We were able to accommodate a request for an appointment conducted entirely in Cantonese.
