A Better Way to Receive
If you are trying to catch a baseball, the worst thing you can do is look down at yourself when the ball is coming your way. That’s a good recipe for a bloody nose! The best way to catch it is to focus on the person who is throwing the ball. That sounds obvious when it comes to baseball, but this principle can be applied to receiving healing from God!
Do you struggle with receiving healing? Much like the baseball scenario, many of us are so focused on ourselves and our needs that we don’t place ourselves in a good position to receive. If you’d like to position yourself to receive from God, here are four aspects to focus on!
God’s glory. You were created for God’s glory. Isaiah 43:7 says, “Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yes, I have made him.” It is paramount to understand that everything God does is for His glory, even healing!
In John 11:14, when Jesus found out that Lazarus was sick, He said, “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.” Then Jesus healed him! God wants you well, but your healing is not strictly about you. It brings glory to God!
God’s character. God is good, and His heart is kind toward you! Matthew 14:14 says, “And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.” Every time Jesus healed someone, His character was revealed When you focus on God’s character of compassion, it makes it easier to receive healing form Him.
God’s promises. God fulfilled His promises to you through Christ. Every time Jesus healed someone, it fulfilled Old Testament prophecy. Isaiah 35:5-6 prophesied that the blind would see, the deaf would hear, and the lame would walk. We should want to be healed not just for ourselves but because His promises will be fulfilled and His Word will be exalted!
God’s purpose. The ultimate goal for your healing is not just that you feel better; it’s also for God’s glory! Consider Peter’s mother-in-law, who, after being healed, immediately started serving Jesus (Luke 4:38-39). Walking in complete healing allows you to better serve God and others and fulfill the unique all on your life.
If you center your focus on God through these four aspects, rather than on yourself, I believe your faith will be strengthened to receive your healing!

God Answers Prayer
Since our last Healing Rooms Open Hours:
A woman called her appointment a real blessing. “The team members made me feel accepted, understood and cared about. The words and scriptures they gave me were so encouraging. I’ve written them down and began to meditate on the scripture references.” Since her appointment, she reported feeling calm and peaceful, sleeping better, and having hope and direction.
One woman reported that not much has changed in her circumstances since the appointment. But she appreciated being reminded that God is working on her behalf even if she can’t see the changes yet.
Another woman reported that she was able to get a brand new car because she trusted God through the process and because of the supportive prayers of the team.
The teams prayed for anxiety, marriages, dental matters, a broken wrist from pickleball, heart healing, strength to take action, wisdom, childhood trauma, cancer, collapsed lung, diabetes, reinjury to arm, God’s peace and strength, relief from fear and worry, high blood pressure, AFIB symptoms, rapid heartbeat, perseverance and endurance, life direction, whether to move or not, relationship with adult children, legal court cases, faith renewal, breakthrough in circumstances, counteracting witchcraft, workplace challenges, a new place to live, coping with the loss of a loved one, caring for a loved one, financial breakthrough, sciatica, and trauma from an accident several years ago.
Scheduling An Appointment
Together, Silicon Valley Healing Rooms Prayer Ministers are ready to take your prayer requests to God in prayer. They also seek God’s word for you in advance of the appointment.
We are now taking signups for prayer appointments for Tuesday Sept 17, 2024

1. Let us know your TOP THREE APPOINTMENT TIME PREFERENCES, in order of priority.
We will coordinate the teams, and send the zoom information on Monday for the appointment on Tuesday.
