Building Resilience

One of God’s goals for us is to build resilience. We learn resilience at an accelerated rate during challenging times. Nothing that happens to us in our lives is a surprise to God. He already has a way through even as unplanned events in our lives unfold. God’s goals are designed for victory in the situation, as well as building resilience in us.

The apostle Paul listed the things he endured in 2 Corinthians 11:25-27, “Three times I was beaten with rods; once I was stoned; three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I have been in the deep;  in journeys often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils of my own countrymen, in perils of the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren;  in weariness and toil, in sleeplessness often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness—” Who would sign up for that life? No one. Yet, most Christians strive to learn the lessons Paul learned and wrote about in the New Testament having survived all these trials.

Paul put words to living in resilience. “We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed;perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; stuck down, but not destroyed” (2 Corinthians 4:8-9). What does that lifestyle look like? It’s finding purpose in the pain. It’s not comparing our situation to anyone else’s situation. It’s directing our focus to God and who He is to us and for us. It’s forgiving everyone along the way (even when they don’t deserve it). It’s keeping our praise on when things are a hot mess.  It’s remembering that everything bad comes from the enemy, and everything good comes from God. However we need to grab on to trust, we choose trust. “Cast your burden on the LORD, and He will sustain you; he will never let the righteous to be moved” (Psalm 55:22).

Whatever we are facing, the Bible says, “God leads us in triumphal procession” (2 Cor 2:14). Even when we don’t feel it. We are designed to triumph. This truth is so simple, and yet so powerful. God reminds us that He is bringing us out of our trial as gold. “But he knows the way that I take; when he has tried me, I shall come out as gold” (Job 23:10).

So when times are challenging, let us ask God to make us resilient. No matter the trial, there is a way to move through it with grace and in victory. We grow more resilient, and that aligns with God’s purposes on our lives. Ouch, hallelujah. Let us praise God and move forward in resilience to the plans of the enemy to knock us down. We will stand strong and watch the recompense of the wicked (Psalm 91:8). Psalm 91 goes on to tell us that God promses to command his angels concerning us, to guard us in all our ways.  God will answer our call to Him. God will deliver us and  protect us. God will rescue us, honor us, satisfy us and show us His salvation (see Psalm 91: 11, 14, 15,16).

God Answers Prayer

Since our last Healing Rooms Open Hours:

One woman’s stress went from a 7 to a 2. She received some prophetic words that helped her to see in more tangible way that God sees her and sees what she’s going through. She immediately felt the presence of God when she was prayed for.  She has felt lighter ever since the appointment.

One woman reported that after my prayer session in Feb she was offered two jobs and one job offered a salary increase without me requesting one.

One woman’s pain and stress went from a 4 to a 1. She said her appointment was great. Two prayer team members received the same Bible v. from God and she was already following it. “God was great. I was calm and relaxed in Him and be able to enjoy what he gave me in the challenging family situation.”

The teams prayed for issues around anxiety, marriages, dental matters, heart healing, strength to take action, wisdom, childhood trauma, cancer, diabetes, fibromyalgia, God’s peace and strength, relief from fear and worry, high blood pressure, AFIB symptoms, rapid heartbeat, perseverance and endurance, life direction, whether to move or not, relationship with adult children, disagreements with neighbors, faith renewal, breakthrough in circumstances, counteracting witchcraft, workplace challenges, settling in to a new place to live, caring for a loved one, financial breakthrough, sciatica, sleep disorders, and trauma relief.
