Leap for Leap Year 2016

SVHR OPEN HOURS are March 1 from 11am – 1pm and 7pm – 9pm

MARCH 1, 2016 SVHR

February 29 only happens every four years.  2016 is a “Leap Year.”  I believe we are leaping into a new season of God. As we move into March, we march forward into this new season with joy and leaping.  We are seeing a renewed surge in healing and interest in healing. There are those who need a healing touch from God.  And there are those who are waking up to God’s heart and ability to heal many, many people around us.  The interest in learning is strong and grows.  We pray as people get touched, they take the overflowing love of God with them to all their spheres of influence.

GOD ANSWERS PRAYER

Last Open Hours we prayed for fibromyalgia, diabetes, arthritis, tendon pain, a decision to move to another city, Lyme disease, needing a job, needing a new place to live, medical test results, fungus growths to disappear, God’s direction in life, sprained ankle, peace while awaiting blood tests, and loved one’s salvation.  All of these requests receive prayer.  The answers come in the next doctor’s appointment, a phone call from a future employer, an apartment listing just-in-time, ability to play a sport without pain (accelerated recovery).  The faith of our team is based on seeing God answer prayer over and over again and knowing He hears our prayers.

Immediate answers during Open Hours come with picture images that the team members receive, scripture verses to reference, study in more detail with context, and memorize. To the person with uncertainties in life, God offers verses on peace.  To the person feeling forgotten by God, He showed a team member a bouquet of the person’s favorite flowers.  Several people leave with the joy of the Lord, which becomes their strength for the next few weeks.  Others leave with peace feeling partnership with God in their challenge.  Most leave encouraged and expectant for God’s answers to their prayers.

HEALING TRUTH

From the desk of Sue Burdullis with the Camarillo Healing Rooms

So Jesus answered and said to them, “ Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. Mark 11:22-23

Do you know what the hardest part of moving a mountain is?  The courage to talk to it, telling the mountain of opposition what God says, no matter how unreasonable your words may seem from a natural standpoint to yourself or to those around you.

Three times Jesus, the ultimate faith teacher, emphasizes the word “say”  in Mark 11:22-24, the passage in which Jesus Himself gives us specific instructions of how to operate in mountain moving faith.  Saying what God says is the most crucial of all steps, because it ignites your “faith in God”.  Proverbs 22:18 points to this reality, “Let them (God’s Word) all be fixed upon your lips, so that your trust may be in the Lord.”  Paul in Romans 10:17 echoes this same thought, “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”  In order to move the mountain of opposition in your life, you must first begin by moving your mouth in one accord with God’s mouth.

In order to move the mountain of opposition in your life, you must first begin by moving your mouth in one accord with God’s mouth.

Your mouth, what you “say”, plays a key role in your victory.  Ecclesiastes 8:4 states, “Where the word of a king is there is power…”   Because of Jesus’ blood, you and I have been made “kings and priests to His God and Father”. (Rev. 1:6)   As a king and priest in God’s kingdom, you are to “take…the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God” (Eph. 6:17), and you are to put it in your mouth just as Jesus put the sword in His mouth: “Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword…”  (Rev. 19:15).   The sword of the Spirit, the Word of God, “… is living and powerful and sharper than any two edge sword…”. (Heb. 4:12)  The Word of God contains more power to heal you than the enemy’s word has power to keep you sick, depressed, financially destitute, or living in “hell” here on this earth.   The inherent power in the Word of God is activated when you put the sword of the Spirit in your mouth.

““Behold, I will make you into a new threshing sledge with sharp teeth; you shall thresh the mountains and beat them small, and make the hills like chaff.”  Isaiah 41:15  “Threshing” means praying and praying involves saying.  When the disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray, Jesus “said to them, ‘When you pray, say…'”. (Luke 11:2)  When you continually say what God says and not what the mountain says, you will see the mountain be removed.

If you have become greatly discouraged from seeing God’s promise fulfilled in your life or in a situation you have been contending for, then God’s Word to Zechariah is for you this day.  “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.  Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain.” Zechariah 4:6-7   Sixteen years had gone by since the Israelites first attempted to rebuild the temple of the Lord, which was completely destroyed during their 70 years of Babylonian captivity.

How many days, months, or years have gone by from you seeing God’s Word fulfilled in your life or for a situation you are contending for?  Today, God desires to open your eyes to the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit (Zech. 4:2-5) that can remove any mountain.  And, God says to you, like He did to Zerubbabel in Zechariah’s vision, I want you to start shouting to the mountain, “Grace, Grace”.  As you begin saying what God says, releasing His grace into the situation, you will see the victory, the capstone, brought forth.

INTERCESSOR NOTES

Thank you for praying.  We continue to ask God to match the team with who He knows He’s bringing.

TO THE TEAM

Thank you for coming and praying.  Your ability to hear God and give people the scriptures, the picture images and the phrases that God gives you is hitting the mark.  People are amazed at how God meets them through you in each appointment.  Bring your listening ears, and keep them open all day in preparation.

We’re looking forward to seeing you tomorrow.  We are blessed as you come pray for others.  We love to hear how God is opening doors in this Spring season for each of you personally and praying into these.

See you on Tuesday. We ask for traveling mercies.

With His great blessings surrounding you,

Stephanie Shoquist, Susan Mitchell, and Jeeti Gill
