Open Hours May 6, 2014

WE ARE OPEN May 6 from 11am – 1pm and 7pm – 9pm

You are an awesome team.  Thank you to everyone who came the last time we were open.  We never know who is coming or when.  Even if you can only stay for one or two appointments, it really helps.  Last time we were open we have the privilege of praying for 15 people in the morning. We had three prayer stations open, but two people left without being able to stay for prayer.  In the evening we had the rare luxury of time to minister lengthy appointments, as need be, for everyone who came.  We are believing that God is the Master Scheduler as He puts on people’s hearts when and if people can come.  God was moving throughout the day in both the physical and emotional healing arenas for people.

GOD ANSWERS PRAYERS

We had a man come in last time who had dry eyes.  His tear ducts were not functioning properly and it was hard to water his eyes.  The eyes felt hot with a burning sensation.  There were three prayer team members.  Two of the team members put their open hands over his eyes, but didn’t touch the eyes.  The third person had their hand on his back.  We began to pray.  He said his eyes had a cool sensation on them.  We prayed some more and they felt increasingly “calm.”  We asked God to continue to heal his eyes to complete restoration.  We checked in one hour later as he waited for another friend who came with him and his eyes were still experiencing the healing touch of God.

Because physical healing is linked to inner healing, and inner healing is a process, we see many people come for prayer more than once.  One woman came who was recently divorced.  She had done the “work” of forgiving her former husband.  This time she forgave herself and broke some inner vows she had made along the way.  She felt some burdens were released and she felt lighter.  Then she received prayer for her physical concerns.  She left believing God is at work in her life and freer.  We are expecting the doctor’s report to come back significantly improved.

Two people noted intense heat in the area of their body that received prayer.  This is usually a good sign and brings strong results.  One person had a painful hip and another asked for prayer around their shoulder.  The first thing we see is a lessoning of pain.  The second is receiving the confidence that they are healed.  Third is the doctor’s confirmation.

One woman came in with a sinus issue.  After prayer, the pain was gone and her sinuses felt clear.  The team also prayed for new life direction as requested.  The woman got the sense that she should pursue a particular field of study and left with clarity in this area of life as well.

HEALING THOUGHT

When we determine to believe God hears our prayers and is at work on them…NOW…that is living in faith.  Hebrews 11:1 reads “Now, faith IS the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

If faith is our substance, then we have a certain expectation that goes along with us.  If God promises something, then it WILL happen.  Our hope can wane or we can remain confident while we wait.  Some people are waiting to see if it will happen.  Those in faith choose to believe it will happen if God said so.  Our choice to believe determines our level of hope.

Meanwhile the enemy gets out the discouragement tapes and tries to get us to believe them.  They sound like, “Things will never change.  It could even get worse.  It’s the same old, same old.  It’s been like this for years and it’s not going to change now.”  Listening to people who talk like this impacts our spirit.  We start to believe this and it changes our expectations.

No matter what our circumstances are, our God is bigger.  No matter how bad things look, God can turn around any situation.  When we pray for people who don’t seem like they will change, it helps to remember that God is actively at work as a result of our prayers.

In between praying and seeing the results, we wait.  While waiting, we have an important choice to make.  Are we going to wait expectantly, or are we going to wait suspiciously wondering if God will do anything or not.  If we can wait expecting to see God’s goodness at the best possible time, by God’s standards, then we develop hope.  If we believe that God is at work on our issues even if we can’t see the changes, we walk with a different hope level while we wait.  David wrote a lot of Psalms as he waited for God’s anointing for him to be king to unfold.  In his waiting period, the current King Saul was actively trying to kill him.  I’ve wondered if this is how David directed his thoughts when he “strengthened himself up the Lord.”  People come to our Healing Rooms to strengthen their hope and faith with others before the Lord.

Sometimes just saying out loud a truth can be very helpful.  “God loves you.  He’s willing to forgive your sins if we confess them right now before God.  God has a good plan for your life, and it’s not too late to start.  God forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases.”  These sentences are true and cut through the soulish doubts to the spirit part of us, and we are strengthened.

Faith believes God can do anything.  Our God is powerful and mighty.  He turns a man’s life around from sin to godliness.  He is still in the business of healing all our diseases.  He calls a person to their destiny.  This time when people come to our Healing Rooms, we are releasing hope through our foundation of faith in God.

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

INTERCESSOR NOTES

Thank you for our intercessors!

We have a word from one of our inercessors in advance of our meeting this Tuesday May 6.  I quote:  “”Running” with “Patience”……….in these two words I have combined the intensity of purpose and the quiet waiting upon Me which you must have, lest you be overtaken in the race by fatigue of body and soul. So come to Me and pour out your praise, your love and your worship, you will not be disappointed. “

INTERNS

If you are an intern and plan to come to pray, please let us know in advance so we can fold you into our current Prayer Team Stations.  Welcome aboard.

THANK YOU

Thank you for making Healing Prayer a priority to be able to come and see what God wants to do each time we are open.  You are God’s valuable and powerful prayer warriors.  We are blessed to have you on the team. The Lord knows your needs as you commit to coming to the Healing Rooms.  We join you in prayer, expecting the blessings to overtake the challenges.

May the Lord fill you with hope believing in the power of the Holy Spirit at work in you,
